The Birdsong Blossoms Hat, February 2023
Inspired by the tropical jungles of Brazil. Using strictly Perler Beads, glue, and thread, capturing the harmony of nature and color at its core. Using heat manipulation and pattern-making to create landscapes of rocks, plants, flowers, and insects. Resulting in two first-place awards at state and regional competitions. This is the first of a natural hat collection.
The Luminous Reef Hat, February 2024
Inspired by the beautiful colors and nature of our tropical oceans and coral reef life. The Luminous Reef Hat, features a plastic turtle sculpture, coral reefs, and fish. All created out of Perler Beads, recycled plastic, glue, and thread. These is the second hat in my nature hat collection. I plan to create a full 12-piece piece collection over the years showcasing our beautiful planet. The purpose of the collection is to bring light and life to what our environments and earth should be like, but due to pollution and other harmful human activities, these scenes might never be seen again. To be solidified, only in art, rather than nature itself
Cosplay, June 2022
Here I am cosplaying as Squirrel Girl from the popular franchise Marvel. She was popular in the comics in the 1980's and was recently revamped for the animated series Marvel Rising (2018). She is wearing olive green leggings, brown faux leather shorts, a sheer brown bodysuit, cotton green jacket, along with a fur squirrel tail and ears.
Halloween Costume, October 2023
After thoroughly researching fabric materials, the character's concept, ideas, and inquiring about what the client wanted, I created a plan. The character, Yamper, is an eccentric electric corgi. Taking into consideration the activeness of the child, flexibility, and needs, I was able to design a costume that would represent the character, and be the perfect balance between costume and clothing for maximum efficiency while keeping warm. Sweatshirt fleece, felt, interfacing, and elastic were used to create this costume. The four accessories take direct inspiration from the characters color palette and unique designs. The sweatshirt features a white front pocket and elastic to create a seamless transition and represent the character's white belly and legs. The character, Yamper, is owned by Pokemon of the Nintendo Company.
