The Butterflair Fashion Collection, May 2024

"My fashion collection, titled the ButterFlair features the Mosaic Monarch Dress, the Butterfly Blazer, the Fluttering Fascinator Hat, and the Darling Dream Dress. This collection, as I’m sure you can see, is themed around butterflies. I chose this theme because butterflies represent metamorphosis and change. During these past four years of my life, and for every person has gone through something, high school is where you go through some of the biggest changes of your life. And while you are personally going through change, these specific past four years have also had extreme changes on our world, environment, and community, through COVID-19 and our current climate crisis, the world is constantly changing alongside us. In light of this, each piece that you see in my collection has some sort of recycled materials. Each piece has either spots, veins, cells, or marks that create the effect of a monarch butterflies wings. I created this collection to showcase how recycled materials can help improve our environment and create art."

Featuring an ombre gradient from bubblegum pink to navy blue, showcasing the colors of our grand galaxy with a sheer star tulle with a sweetheart bodice with a halterneck design and peplum waist. Peplum and sweetheart shape and color palette inspired by the movie Barbie Fashion Fairytale.
